NJL Shareholder, Bill Hittler, Recognized With Top Service Award

William D. Hittler, shareholder at Nilan Johnson Lewis (NJL), is being recognized as a community leader through his outstanding work with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).

Hittler is the recipient of the 2013 Silver Beaver Award, presented by the BSA Northern Star Council. The honor is extended to committed adult leaders who dedicate themselves to youth in both the Scouting program and through community service. This prestigious award is typically given to members who have served the BSA for at least 10 years. Hittler was nominated by his peers for this award and will be acknowledged for his achievements during a special event on March 23.

Hittler has been with NJL since its inception in 1996.  He graduated from Notre Dame Law School.  He focuses his practice on ERISA benefits litigation and frequently presents at national conferences on these topics.  He is a member of the Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa Bar. He is also very active in Sheridan School Reading Program and the Page Education Foundation and was recognized as its 2010 Mentor of the Year.
