Nilan Johnson Lewis Adds to Labor and Employment, Healthcare Practice Groups By Hiring Three New Associates

Jen L. Cornell, Jeremy D. Robb and Elizabeth M. Winchell Join the Firm

MINNEAPOLIS (September 9, 2013) – Minneapolis law firm Nilan Johnson Lewis today announces the addition of three new attorneys. Jen L. Cornell and Jeremy D. Robb join the firm’s labor and employment practice group, and Elizabeth M. Winchell joins the healthcare practice group. The addition of these three attorneys brings the total number of attorneys at Nilan Johnson Lewis to 46.

Jen L. Cornell focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, including general litigation and client counsel. Jen was formerly with the firm Dorsey & Whitney. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law where she received Order of the Coif and Magna Cum Laude honors, the Presidential Student Leadership & Service Award, and the Stark Award for Civil Rights & Liberties. She was also Editor-in-Chief of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jen spent 15 years as a professional firefighter, retiring at the rank of Battalion Chief. In 2013, Jen was a White House Fellows National Finalist.

Jeremy D. Robb also joins the firm as an associate in the labor and employment practice group. Jeremy was previously a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas J. Kalitowski at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He has also clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office and served as an extern for the Honorable John R. Tunheim in federal district court. He is a 2012 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law where he received Magna Cum Laude honors and was editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.

Elizabeth M. Winchell joins Nilan Johnson Lewis as an associate attorney in the firm’s healthcare practice. Elizabeth has been a law clerk with Nilan Johnson Lewis since September 2012, and earned her JD and Health Law Certificate from Hamline University School of Law in May 2013, where she received Summa Cum Laude honors. Elizabeth was Editor-in-Chief of the Hamline Law Review and a member of the Hamline Women’s Legal Caucus and Student Health Law Association.
