NJL Welcomes Special Counsel Attorney Sonseere Goldenberg, Adding Over 20 Years of Experience to Corporate Immigration Practice.

Minneapolis, MN—Minnesota-based national law firm Nilan Johnson Lewis (NJL) welcomes Sonseere Goldenberg as a Special Counsel attorney to the Corporate Immigration team, bringing over 20 years of experience in Corporate Immigration Law to its Labor & Employment practice area.

She works diligently alongside individuals and businesses navigating the ever-changing immigration process to achieve each client’s goals. Sonseere has assisted extraordinary-ability self-petitioners, as well as businesses seeking to hire extraordinary, exceptional, and professional foreign workers in permanent (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3) and temporary (H-1B, O-1, L) positions, and specializes in the complex area of employment-based immigration. Sonseere also assists clients in obtaining work authorization outside of the U.S. and manages out-bound immigration for businesses placing employees abroad.

Sonseere is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Rome Chapter and Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter, having drafted the Code of Ethical Conduct for the latter in 2002. She has been honored by Civil Society for her Outstanding Performance in Fighting Human Trafficking, with publications and interviews regarding the fight against human trafficking within the state of Minnesota.

By way of her own life’s journey, Sonseere can empathize with her clients and understands the particular legal challenges they face under U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law.  She obtained her Italian citizenship through an ancestral bloodline and has lived in Italy. She also grew up in the Swede Hollow neighborhood in St. Paul which at that time, transitioned to become home to the newer immigrants from southern Italy.
