NJL People: Mai Lee Yang

Mai Lee counsels large national and small health care plans, advising on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial products, compliance programs, corporate governance, regulatory audits, and managing regulatory issues. She has represented health care entities and providers regarding all operational aspects from licensing, change of ownership, contract negotiations, external and internal investigations. Mai Lee advocates for her clients by understanding their business goals while recognizing the industry’s complex regulations. She finds solutions to comply with regulatory rules, guiding her clients away from regulator scrutiny and solving conflicts before they arise. Mai Lee also enjoys counseling nonprofit entities on governing questions and day-to-day issues.

While away from the office, Mai Lee can be found boating and fishing on Minnesota’s lakes in the summertime or ice fishing on the frozen waters during the colder months.
