Three Nilan Johnson Lewis Paralegals Elected to Serve on Minnesota Paralegal Association’s Board of Directors & Officers
Three paralegals with Nilan Johnson Lewis were elected to leadership positions within the Minnesota Paralegal Association (MPA) at the association’s fall gathering on October 25, 2013.
Lori J. Boris, RP® joins the Board in 2014 for her second term as NFPA Primary and Director of Positions and Issues. She previously served as President of the MPA from 2009-2011. Brenda J. Myrfield, a Nilan Johnson Lewis paralegal with more than a decade of litigation experience, was elected to serve as the 2014 Director of Marketing for the MPA. Karen Zimny will serve as the Secretary and Director of Operations for the association.
The three paralegals will be a crucial part of MPA leadership, promoting a high standard of professionalism to the legal community and general public, encouraging communication among paralegals and organizations, supporting the ongoing education and professional development of paralegals and demonstrating a commitment to the field.
Lori J. Boris, RP® joined Nilan Johnson Lewis in January of 2013. Prior to her arrival, she spent 10 years as a litigation paralegal with Foley & Mansfield in Minneapolis. She focuses her expertise in the areas of product liability, catastrophic loss, mass tort, social media investigations, and more.
Brenda J. Myrfield’s experience includes substantial trial and arbitration work. She focuses her expertise within the areas of medical device, pharmaceutical, and commercial litigation, as well as social media investigations, and more.
Karen Zimny is a paralegal at Nilan Johnson Lewis who focuses on product liability and mass tort. Zimny’s expertise is in the areas of product liability litigation, transportation defense, social media investigations, and more.
