Veteran Trial Lawyer Scott M. Rusert Joins Nilan Johnson Lewis as Shareholder

Minneapolis, Minn., July 7, 2014 – Minneapolis law firm Nilan Johnson Lewis PA welcomes Scott M. Rusert as a shareholder attorney within the firm’s product liability and commercial litigation practice groups. Mr. Rusert brings 21 years of trial law experience, including work in commercial and business litigation, product liability, insurance law, construction law and employment disputes. He tries cases in federal and state court and has been lead trial counsel on cases in thirty states.

For 20 years Scott has been national counsel on product liability matters for a Minnesota-based multi-national corporation. During that time he has won numerous victories, including jury verdicts, summary judgments and dismissals. His commercial litigation experience covers all aspects of business to business disputes, including contract claims, shareholder disputes, and securities litigation.

Previously, Rusert was a partner at Gaskins Bennett Birrell Schupp, LLP. He earned his J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Prior to that he received his bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College.
