Cory defends employers against employment-related claims, including discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower matters, trade secrets disputes, and wage-and-hour cases, and counsels companies on compliance strategies and workforce management to reduce litigation exposure. He also has experience in products liability, personal injury, and healthcare professional liability defense.
What sets Cory apart is the depth of courtroom experience he developed before joining private practice. As a former prosecutor, he tried felony-level cases from inception through verdict — personally conducting evidentiary hearings, motion practice, jury selection, opening statements, witness examination, and closing arguments across a docket of more than 80 active matters. That experience translates directly to his work on behalf of employers: he understands how cases are built, where they are won or lost, and how to drive them efficiently toward favorable outcomes.
Cory is also active in the legal community. He serves as a mentor for law students at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and volunteers as a mock trial coach for middle school students.
