Jessica is an attorney in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group. She brings experience in courtroom advocacy, appellate analysis, and complex legal research, with a background that includes clerking at the state supreme court level and representing clients in a wide range of litigation matters.
Before entering private practice, Jessica served as a law clerk to Justice Geoffrey Slaughter of the Indiana Supreme Court, where she researched complex legal questions, reviewed trial and appellate records, and drafted opinions and bench memoranda to assist the Court in resolving significant issues of state law. She also participated in moot arguments and reviewed draft opinions from other chambers, providing her with valuable insight into how appellate courts evaluate legal arguments and written advocacy.
Jessica also brings significant litigation experience from her work with legal services organizations, where she regularly appeared in court, presented evidence, examined witnesses, and argued contested matters on behalf of clients. She has managed substantial caseloads, drafted hundreds of legal petitions and motions, and developed evidentiary records to support client claims.
Her background in both appellate chambers and active litigation enables Jessica to approach legal matters with a strategic perspective and a strong foundation in research, writing, and courtroom advocacy.
