NJL People: Kaitlin A. Lang

Kaitlin is an attorney in the firm’s Corporate, Nonprofit, and Health Care groups, where she serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and businesses navigating complex legal and regulatory matters. She provides strategic, business-oriented counsel on issues including data privacy, software licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property, helping clients manage risk while advancing organizational goals.

Drawing on her experience as in-house counsel at an e-commerce company, Kaitlin brings a practical, solutions-driven perspective to her practice. In that role, she assisted with a broad portfolio of customer and vendor agreements, including Software as a Service and other technology-related contracts, and played a key role in supporting company-wide compliance with evolving data privacy laws.

Kaitlin has a significant health care practice and advises providers and related entities on regulatory compliance, patient-related matters, business associate agreements, and a wide range of operational and commercial contracts. She also counsels nonprofit organizations and other businesses on corporate governance, transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and dissolution, partnering closely with leadership to support sound decision-making and long-term sustainability.

Earlier in her career, Kaitlin served as a Judicial Extern for the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She also developed her intellectual property experience through participation in a trademark clinic as a Certified Student Attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
