
Maria is a labor and employment lawyer with a background in human resources. Her practice includes litigating discrimination and harassment claims, advising employers on Title VII, ADA and disability accommodations, FMLA, labor relations, and conducting workplace investigations. Prior to entering private practice, she spent several years as a human resources professional at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where she gained practical experience in recruiting, performance management, FMLA, FLSA, nepotism agreements, employment policies, and a wide range of other employee relations issues.
More recently, Maria clerked for the Honorable Judge Edward Sheu in Ramsey County District Court, and she previously served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice Paul Thissen and the Honorable Justice Anne K. McKeig.
