Mitch is a member of NJL’s Business Litigation practice group, supporting clients across a range of commercial disputes and litigation matters.
His litigation background spans both plaintiff and defense work. On the defense side, he has served as first-chair trial counsel in more than a dozen cases before the Court of Administrative Hearings, managing complex matters involving medical and expert issues through all phases of litigation, from intake and discovery through motion practice and resolution. He has also briefed and argued before its appellate division, the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. Earlier in his career, he represented plaintiffs in Federal Employers Liability Act, personal injury, occupational, and premises liability matters, handling all substantive written work, including dispositive motions, pleadings, and discovery.
Before law school, Mitch spent three years as an environmental scientist and consultant, researching energy and environmental regulations and representing clients before city, county, and state regulatory bodies — experience that informs a practical understanding of how regulatory frameworks intersect with business operations.
