Muteeat is a litigator who represents companies in labor and employment matters. She brings seven years of experience litigating complex matters in state and federal courts, with a background spanning criminal prosecution, civil defense, and institutional advisory work. As a former felony prosecutor, she managed a docket of more than 100 active cases, personally litigating bench trials, evidentiary hearings, and contested certification motions through final judgment. She has also served as civil counsel for county social services agencies, advising institutional clients on legal risk across matters including contract negotiations, data privacy, maltreatment determinations, and asset forfeitures — experience that has sharpened her ability to counsel organizations navigating complex legal and compliance obligations.
Muteeat is also deeply invested in the broader legal and civic community. She serves on the boards of the Ramsey County Bar Association, the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and Microgrants. She also serves as adjunct faculty at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she teaches Race and the Law and Juvenile Justice. Beyond her teaching, she co-facilitates a weekly community support group for justice-impacted women through the Ramsey County Judges Women’s Community Group.
