MINNEAPOLIS (August 5, 2024) — Nilan Johnson Lewis (NJL) is pleased to announce that Kathleen Curtis has been promoted to Shareholder, effective August 1, 2024.

Since joining NJL in 2021, Kathleen has focused her practice on product liability, personal injury, business litigation, construction litigation, professional malpractice and insurance coverage matters. She also advises clients on a wide range of risk management matters, including insurance coverage obligations, indemnity agreements, claims handling and extra-contractual exposure.

“Kathleen is an outstanding litigator who is comfortable in the courtroom, including serving as first-chair defense counsel,” said NJL President Amanda Cialkowski. “She is detail-oriented and thorough. Her clients value not only her skills and experience but also the unwavering dedication she brings to every matter.”

Kathleen has perennially received Super Lawyers recognition since 2016. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law, where she served as a staff member of the William Mitchell Law Review. She earned a B.A., magna cum laude, in English literature with minors in Spanish and political science from Concordia College.
