Mollie Clark Ahsan

Mollie is a dedicated labor and employment attorney who combines strategic advocacy with a client-centered approach to resolve complex workplace challenges. She advises companies navigating high-stakes legal matters, including non-compete disputes, EEOC claims, and wage-and-hour litigation. A tenacious litigator, Mollie thrives in securing favorable client outcomes during critical moments, leveraging her ability to distill intricate legal issues into clear, actionable guidance. Her background in federal tax litigation with the U.S. Department of Justice further sharpened her analytical precision and talent for translating technical complexities into winning strategies.

Before joining NJL, Mollie served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, Civil Trial Section, through its prestigious Honors Program. In this role, she managed a docket of high-value civil tax cases, representing the United States in high-value defensive and offensive suits. Before her work with the DOJ, Mollie demonstrated her commitment to justice through her work at the Federal Immigration Litigation Clinic at the Binger Center for New Americans, where she argued an Eighth Circuit asylum case that reunited a client with his family in the U.S. She also helped author a Practice Advisory on statutory interpretation for the American Immigration Council. Her earlier internship with the DOJ Tax Division saw her assisting at a federal bench trial and drafting a successful motion to exclude adverse expert testimony.

Beyond the courtroom, Mollie has coached a competitive debate team since 2014, earning the National Speech & Debate Association’s First Diamond Coach Award and recognition as an “Unsung Hero” by the Beyond Resolved Institute. She enjoys exploring Costco aisles for hidden gems and diving into a good book.
